About Me
My name is Lindsey Wixson, and I am a school psychologist based in Florence, Italy. I trained as a school psychologist in the United States and retain my license within the state of Indiana. Since moving abroad in 2019, I have collaborated with many international schools in Europe, conducting psychoeducational evaluations for students, both online or in-person at school.
A full psychoeducational evaluation typically includes complete cognitive and academic (reading, math, and writing) assessments, as well as rating scales that would be relevant to a child’s individual profile (social-emotional functioning, attention, executive functioningskills, etc.). While suggestions for home are written into the recommendations based on what comes out of the data collected, the primary focus of these types of evaluations is to recommend strategies and accommodations within the school setting (inclusive of accommodations for IB and/or College Board exams).
I offer both full and brief evaluations, so please get in touch so that we can further discuss the right fit for your student.
